We're only a small company so you probably haven't heard of us before. However, we've had a good amount of publicity and have written about riding in the area for the magazines Cycling Plus (UK), Dirt Rag (US) and What Mountain Bike (UK). Out There Biking is also be listed in the latest edition of Rough Guides to India, and has been featured on the popular website Bikemagic, as well as in one of the lovely Howies catalogues, purveyors of environmentally conscious bike wear. We're now looking forward to our fifth season...
The trip was really, really excellent! I can't say that enough. The
organisation was low-key but obviously well-researched and extremely
thorough. It was an absolutely amazing tour and one which I would
whole-heartedly recommend to others.

We are still dreaming (almost every day) about that wonderful Leh
- Manali trip. Our screensavers still show all the wonderful photos.
Even after 2 years, we still think this was one of the best and most
stunning trips we have done.

Thank you for the most fantastic holiday. The trip was amazing and
will definitely not be forgotten. We actually keep getting quite nostalgic
for Northern India. The ‘crew’ was fantastic, the people
on tour heaps of fun, the scenery was spectacular and awe inspiring,
and the tour was brilliantly organized and run. We were incredibly
impressed.
Thanks for the holiday of a lifetime (I really didn't want to come
home).

Thanks again for a wonderful trip, we enjoyed every minute. You are
a wonderful couple and make a terrific team attending to every detail
and also the unexpected.

Thanks for making it all go so smoothly; your hospitality and professionalism
were top notch! A great balance - I feel completely like I went with
a group of friends, not organised 'guides'.

I feel like a broken record saying this again, but I really must
thank you for the opportunity to learn about cycle touring and, of
course, to be exposed to India. I had such a great time and the experiences
of the two weeks keep re-surfacing in my memory.

Thanks once again for a magnificent time in India; fantastic route
and unbeatable surroundings. All your research and hard work certainly
paid dividends in giving us all a truly memorable time.

Many thanks for your excellent and helpful way of running the tour.
I always felt both encouraged and looked after!

"You couldn't have picked a better name than "Out There
Biking". The chance to experience this part of the world on two
wheels, reaching places that few others get to visit even by jeep,
coupled with Cara & Cass' enthusiasm for the area (and their seemingly
limitless good spirits) - as well as the small group size and informality
- make this trip truly special."

"For me it was more than a trip, it was a journey. Looking back
5 months later, I still feel the satisfaction of it all. Conquering
the passes, nailing the singletrack, pushing my comfort zone - both
on and off the bike (and often pushing the bike!). Discovering grit
and determination that I didn't know was there. Realising that we
people are basically all the same, and that you find kindness and
a helping hand no
matter where you look. For me it was unlike any other trip I've done,
and I'd strongly recommend it to anyone interested in discovering
more about this beautiful corner of India, and about themselves. "

"A great part of the world for a cycle trip. Magnificent scenery;
impressive hills and mountains; high passes; wide almost uninhabited
plains; river gorges; fascinating monasteries. The people we met were
invariably friendly, and staying in local guesthouses gave a real
insight into everyday life. Cass and Cara's local knowledge helped
tremendously in gaining a deeper understanding of this area and its
people. Highly recommended, particularly as an introduction to 'expedition'
touring."

"This was our first trip to India and the Himalaya. Not knowing
what to expect, we sought the experience of Cass & Cara whose
values and motivations were similar to ours - to be self sufficient,
interact with local people and have little impact on the environment.
If anyone has ever wondered if they can cycle 800km with 8000m ascent
pulling a trailer over 18 days the answer is you can, and it’s
just great! Cass and Cara’s local knowledge was invaluable,
leading to a balance of undertaking this classic trip with many fabulous
'extras'. The mix of stunning camp sites and friendly guest houses
meant that at the end of the day there always a warm welcome or a
cool place to watch the sun go down. A fantastic trip!"

"I've always wanted to tour in one of those far off places the
really hardcore, globetrotting cyclotourists go, but just didn't have
the confidence to plan a trip of my own. Out There provided organisation,
encouragement, expertise and local knowledge. Yet the relaxed nature
of the holiday made it feel much more like a trip made with friends
than a commercial, conveyor belt, 'pack in the sights and take your
money' type tour."

"If you want something a little more challenging than the conventional
guided bike tour, this is perfect. The Leh-Manali road is simply breathtaking
and Cass and Cara organise the tour with a perfect mix of informality
and efficiency. I've cycled thousands of km in SE Asia and the Middle
East, but nothing compares to this area for stunning scenery, great
riding, friendly people and a fascinating history and culture."
